The Excelsis School of Music is a North London piano school that takes pupils of pretty much any age — very young beginners just starting out, adults picking lessons back up after years away, everyone in between. The Budding Musicians programme eases the youngest ones in gently. Group piano classes let others learn alongside each other instead of sitting alone with a tutor. Teaching is DBS-checked and actually tailored to the person in front of them, not a fixed syllabus everyone gets pushed through regardless of how they learn. And there’s a proper chance to perform each year, at the school’s annual concert, open to every student. Small, welcoming, built around whoever walks through the door.
